BUS 449 Post 1: What is this all about?

Personal Archive: A modest feast on a warm night

This blog is going to follow what happens when six girls share living space. Someone not acquainted with the living arrangements in the dorms of AUBG would probably say that so many females in so few square meters could only lead to a disaster. They would be absolutely right. It makes no sense. Girls are territorial, and worse, when you get too many of them together drama undoubtedly ensues. Yet…I love it…Ok, most of the time I love it.

Don’t expect me to get deeply into psychology or behavioral patterns. I don’t think I can be very philosophical about my living situation. It is what it is. I live with five more girls in the Skaptopara 1 Residence Hall of the American University in Bulgaria. Our suite is made up of two rooms, each with three girls in it. In the first room live Aurora, Rapunzel and Belle. Aurora is a lovely girl whose smile lights up the whole world. She is emotional and excitable, but is unafraid to make hard decisions. She’s won my respect, plus, she has a cool mom. How do I know? Her mom and mine chat on facebook (living in the 21st century makes it almost impossible to keep secrets). Rapunzel is so tall, blond and beautiful, it’s not fair. Looking at her sometimes makes me wonder if she is from another species. As if that is not enough she is smart too. Belle sort of falls into the same category as Rapunzel, well… when I think about it Aurora is a stunner too. Belle knows a very important secret about life – if you spend your time solving the problems of your friends, you won’t have time to create some for yourself.

I live in the other room with Tiana and Snow White. Tiana is awesome. She takes care of her roommates – she always buys us treats and tries to feed me fruits, even though she knows it’s pointless. Snow White is someone I don’t like so much at the moment, because she thought my idea for this blog is stupid. I know that secretly she is jealous she didn’t come up with it herself. Now that we are done with introductions, lets see what actually happens when six girls live together.
