Join in!

The last few days have been too eventful to squeeze in just a few paragraphs. It is especially so when you never have a boring second just because you don’t get any down time while you live with five more girls. At one moment I have Rapunzel dragging me off to one side to share with me her latest epiphany and at the next, there is Belle asking for opinion about her latest project that would satisfy a person’s altruistic needs for the next decade. Rapunzel’s epiphany was that she realized I was right about something, although I have no clue as to why that would strike her as surprising. Some time ago I shared with her that often, after a night of overindulging in alcohol, I tend to dream about finding a bottle of water, in different places, several times per night. If you’ve ever experienced something similar to that, you’ll know it can be some of the most

agonizingly frustrating dreams to have.

But let’s get back on track and mention how it is even more frustrating when you don’t get a single second of the so-called “me” time. With time you get used to it, but fate, God, Karma, or whatever you want to cast your vote for, usually decides to throw you a curve ball. In my case, it can be the girls from the other room blaring chalga music so loud I can’t hear my suicidal thoughts. And it would be really easy for me to go on and on complaining. Aurora barges in my room only in a towel and shows off her exemplary belly dancing skills and Belle can’t carry a tune if her next project depended on it, but she won’t stop letting her freedom-loving voice from soaring and reaching my poor ears. It’s even better if at the same time Tiana is singing Backstreet Boys songs in the background. But the point here is that it is stupid for a person to just sit buried in their complaints. A long time ago someone really wise uttered the words “If you can’t beat them, join them.” So that is what I do, and meanwhile I am having the time of my life shaking my booty non-rhythmically and howling the lyrics of the latest chalga hit. Or you can you can follow, Show White’s example and …oh sorry lost my train of thought because Tiana started singing.
